Name: Tim
Hometown: Stoke on trent
Destination: Ghana
Project type: Teaching English
Organisation: Madventurer
What were your impressions of your destination?
I wasn't sure what to expect...
Was the work interesting and challenging?
Yes, I got a chance to mix teaching, buildling and the sights.
What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?
The people were AMAZING, locals, the other brits and the Madventurer guys. The accommodation wasn't five star, but better than some student digs I've stayed in...
Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?
Really great, I'd heard nightmare stories about Gap Year students being left in the middle of nowhere with no support, this wasn't the case with Madventurer. I was met at the airport and had a mad crew member nearby at all times.
Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?
One of the things that stood out for me about Madventurer was that most of the money I paid seemed to end up in the community I was staying in.
Would you recommend the project to others?
Yes
