What were your impressions of your destination?
Kenya is a fantastic place, the people are so friendly and you feel welcome from day one.
Was the work interesting and challenging?
Although this trip entailed manual labour and building for several hours a day the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment made up for the hard work. It was a satisfying exhaustion!
What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?
The accommodation was basic - but that was exactly what I signed up for and expected. We had no electricity or running water but were able to live happily and cleanly for 6 weeks. The community we stayed in did everything to make us feel wanted and safe.
Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?
The two leaders were great, they had lots of experience and handled everything with ease. We were in contact with the UK staff and always felt looked after.
Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?
Definitely, you can't put a price on the amazing experience Quest Overseas gave me.
Would you recommend the project to others?
