What were your impressions of your destination?
Malawi is amazing, such incredible people and culture. I really enjoyed the destination - so much to see and do and a real sense of calm.
Was the work interesting and challenging?
I was non impressed whatsoever with Quest Overseas, we had joined up to the company to help neighbouring villages in Malazi in any possible way thus giving us changing jobs and a bit of flexibility. Quest was ridiculously unorganised, we'd arrive in a place to work with only half of the equipment needed for the job so half of the team were left to their own devices.
What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?
We were staying in a lovely hut which used to be a chicken hut, were given bunk beds with a matress and a blanket, there were three showers, a kitchen and a seating area.
Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?
I was very, very let down by the leaders, to me if they are out here they're here to LEAD. I feel that on our onward travel they hardly did anything, when a girl in the team was very ill one of the leaders complained to all of us that if he went to take her to hospital he'd miss the salt pans.
Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?
I value my experience but feel very angry towards Quest.
