What were your impressions of your destination?

South Africa is a beautifully diverse country, a really special place that has risen up out of struggle and is now full of hope. There is something for everyone in South Africa, rural countryside, amazing beaches and busy towns and cities.

Was the work interesting and challenging?

Never a dull moment! The children keep you on your toes and amused every hour of the day. Always new challenges to set and be achieved when it comes to teaching.

What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?

Basic accommodation, but very livable.

Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?

Host at the project was wonderful. The organisation that sent me away have a great support network and system, both in South Africa and back in the UK.

Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?

Definitely, fundraising such a large amount is tricky at first. But seeing as it then covered my food, accomodation, flights and insurance for a whole year it was great value. I did spend extra money in holiday time though.

Would you recommend the project to others?

Yes
