What were your impressions of your destination?
Incredible! A massive culture shock but a real experience.
Was the work interesting and challenging?
The work was physically very tough but mentally great fun. Working in a team meant it was always interesting, and we worked alongside local people so we felt like we were really helping.
What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?
The accomodation was very basic. Whilst on project the whole team slept in one room. No running water and the toilets were pit latrines. Again, it was culture shock but it was surprisingly easy to get used to. Whilst travelling we stayed in hostels and camped.
Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?
Quest Overseas staff were fantastic. We had two leaders for the team, and they were fully trained and very experienced, and also great fun. They had great support from the office back home.
