What were your impressions of your destination?

Crazy, chaotic, challenging, fascinating, frustrating, fantastic.

Was the work interesting and challenging?

Yes. I lived with my project partner in a secondary school and taught English to 14 and 17 year olds, with classes of up to sixty boys and girls. In addition we taught at a special English language high school (sixth form) and a primary school. We also did modelling, commercials and tv appearances!

What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?

Spacious flat on the school site. Running water and electricity. Basic furnishings. We even had a fridge and a western loo but had to boil all our water and had our fair share of 'roaches and rodents.

Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?

Yes. We had a visit from our desk officer back in the UK half-way through our year. The only quibble was that our country rep was based in Hong Kong, not China, but this has since changed.

Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?

Yes.

Would you recommend the project to others?

Yes
