What were your impressions of your destination?
Absolutely wonderful. Peru is the best place in the world :D
Was the work interesting and challenging?
It was an amazing experience. I helped excavate a 500 year old body. It was great as it was not something I would normally be able to do.
What was your accommodation like? Did you feel comfortable and welcome at all times?
It was great. A very swanky apartment in Miraflores, a commercial district of Lima. Hot and cold running water all day, electricity, a lovely lovely host, although I was worried about her maid who lived in the pantry. Anyway, they couldn't have been more friendly :D
Were you happy with the organisation and the staff that were responsible for you during your stay?
Very happy. My host was there for me in my hour of need, and that was followed up with help and support from the in-country representative.
Do you feel that you got value for money on the project?
Yes, I think so. I don't know how much went to my host, but I hope a large proportion. It was well worth the money for the experience and the chance to do something I normally would not have the opportunity to do.
